Sterling Cross
What is this,its sterling,what would be the value?
This forum won't let me add a picture so to describe the best I can its a sterling hockey medal circa 1918,I saw a picture of it on the hockey hall of fame web site,related to a player who went on to be successful in the NHL .It has crossed hockey sticks with a shield over it with 1918 engraved on it and the letters BHL The reverse is engraved with Kew Beach Senior and the captains name
The only legendary player I can think of from Kew Beach at that time is Hall of Fame goalie George Hainsworth, but he wasn't with that team in 1918...he played his last year for them the season before. Besides, Kew Beach was in the TIHL at the time (Kew Beach is in east Toronto). If you can send me the picture via email, I can tell you more about it, but I need to see it and look at the details of the piece. Send me a line and I'll send you my email address. Otherwise, call the Hall of Fame. Do you actually own this medallion, or have you just seen a pic and want to know more? If it is yours, it may be slightly different than the one in the Hall of Fame, so again I'd need to see a photo please and I'll do what I can to tell you about it.
