Ornate Tea
What is this - tea or coffee cooker?
I have something I believe came from old Morocco or somewhere in the middle east. It's an ornate stand about 4" tall with a very heavy pot that sits of a box for coals maybe. The whole thing is ornate metal that's rusted and trimmed in brass and very heavy. Does anyone know what this is or what it's called ? It was aquired in the 50's.
Definately not a tangine or hooka
it sounds like a mongolian pot....where meats were boiled on a skewer..coffee is not made in that fashion.its an old version of our fondue pot...
