Henry Williamson
Who will benefit from Matt Jones absence?
Will any of these guys be productive enough to put into my starting lineup in place of Jones?
Jerry Porter (1 reception this season).
Dennis Northcutt ( 8 receptions this season).
Troy Williamson (2 receptions this season).
Mike Walker has been ruled out and Reggie Williams is taken.
Should I go with someone else? Available options include...
Nate Washington PIT
Lance Moore NO
Mike Furrey DET
Chris Henry CIN
Nobody on the Jaguars gets a boost from Jones' absence! If anything the offense suffers from losing it's best wideout! There is no receiver on that highly untalented Jacksonville receiving squad who could fill Matt Jones' place and I guarantee that the entire offense will suffer because of it!
Washington has had some nice games so far, but he's only used a deep-threat and a means to stretch the field to help set up the run. He doesn't have too much value because he's not the first or second receiving option for Roethlisberger!
Moore still has some value, since the Saints didn't look at Colston too much! So for now Moore is the number two or three option in an offense which depends on it's star quarterback airing it out to all of his different targets! Brees likes to spread the ball around and as long as Colston isn't 100%, Moore should keep getting some looks.
Furrey has failed to be a factor this season! His only good game was last week, the first game in the post-Roy Williams era! If Furrey continues to do well then he can become a good option, but ignore him for right now!
Chris Henry is nothing in Cincinnati! Their entire offense is in shambles without Carson Palmer and at this point no one on this offense can save it! Housh and Ocho Cinco are suffering immensely as well because of the joke of an offense they play in!
Basically Moore is the only worthy addition here, but when Colston gets back to his old self Moore will return to being a no name just like before! Exploit him while you can against a weak San Diego passing defense this week!
