Brass Ashtray
Can anyone tell me anything about my brass ashtray?
The ashtray is octagonal and depicts a greek ruin, has greek hand signed lettering on the front and back along with a triangle with a line in it, it is stamped into the brass on the back with a number and "made in Greece". Web searches have turned up nothing, I would like to know where it may have come from and how old it might be. Thanks!
I don't know very much, but this might help. Back in the 1960's and early 1970's there were a lot of brass ashtrays and figures being mass produced as tourist gifts. I have an ashtray I recieved as a gift in 1975 that is lined with brass coins from another country (not sure what country).
